College Club™ is Refuel’s peer-to-peer college brand ambassador marketing program that includes both face–to–face and online influencer activities at over 100 of the largest campuses nationwide. College brand ambassador marketing programs catalyze powerful influence that drives significant behavioral changes on campus. By leveraging our proprietary student ambassador database combined with specialized local recruiting, we field a powerful peer-to-peer messaging team. Refuel has activated hundreds of campus programs across every product category.
Brands who successfully utilize College Club Ambassadors work with Refuel to design specific college lifestyle usage occasions to showcase how the brand can fit into and assist with everyday college life.
For Lyft, the College Club Ambassadors gamified relevant usage occasions such as using Lyft as your safe ride home at night, using Lyft for a student/roommates to go on big grocery hauls, and using Lyft to get to class when you’re running late. We distributed promo cards to both offer students incentives to ride and also to track semester long usage.
For Kiss Nails, the College Club Ambassadors focused on the high quality and easy application of their press-on nail product. We hosted regular sorority nail beauty parties where ambassadors demonstrated the easy application process and the durability of the nails.
For Nissin Cup Noodle, Refuel’s College Club Ambassadors were featuring the Very Veggie product with better flavor and less sodium. The program centered on hand-to-hand product sampling—late-night study sessions at campus locations, Greek house afternoon snacks, and in the dorms (snacks and meal replacement options).
Our programs hyperdrive engagement by integrating three digital media tactics. Using Refuel double opt-in email data, our campaigns deliver dedicated email inbox marketing, retargeting email openers with desktop and mobile display, and matched college social media profile marketing campaigns. Refuel drives audiences from awareness through conversion via pinpoint targeting by multiple levers including school attended, year in school, major interest, and on-campus vs off-campus living. Our college data is refreshed monthly, to ensure accuracy with this transitory audience. We are CAN-SPAM, GDPR, CCPA and CASL compliant.
